Jhankar 2025 Senior (Inter-School Dance Competition)

"Echoes of Expression: The Inter-School Dance Chronicle"
OP Jindal Modern School hosted an Inter-School Dance Competition on 8 May 2025 at Tarangini,the school auditorium, drawing enthusiastic participation from several reputed schools across the region. The event aimed to promote cultural exchange, artistic expression, and healthy competition among students as well as to pay tribute and celebrate the artistic excellence of the renowned Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan.
A total of 27 schools participated, showcasing a variety of dance forms including classical, folk, contemporary, and western styles. Each team brought vibrant energy and creativity to the stage, captivating the audience with their well-coordinated performances, colorful costumes, and impressive choreography.
The competition was judged by a panel of esteemed professionals from the field of performing arts, who evaluated the performances based on criteria such as expression, rhythm, coordination, costume, an overall impact .The esteemed judging panel included Mr. Anil Kumar, an internationally renowned Kathak and folk dance artist; Ms. Nishi Kalra, a veteran educator and award-winning choreographer; and Ms. Neha Sharma, an accomplished Kathak dancer and experienced jury member.
The event began with the ceremonial Lamp Lighting ceremony by the eminent dignitaries present. This was followed by NRITYAM , a tribute to the Lord Vinayaka.The host school presented an energizing Bhangra frenzy that drew applause from everyone present.
OPJMS bagged the highest score in the event, but being the host school, they didn’t contest for the title and gracefully passed on the winners title to the team winning the second position. After a remarkable showcase of talent, Delhi Public School, Hisar secured the first position with a powerful and synchronised performance. The second position was awarded to Sh. Kali Devi Vidya Mandir, Hansi, followed by Small Wonder School, Hisar in third position. Shah Satnam Ji Girls School, Sirsa earned a consolation prize for their commendable effort and graceful presentation. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the winners were awarded trophies and certificates.
The Principal Ms. Nandita Sahu applauded the participants and expressed immense pride in hosting such a vibrant and culturally rich platform. Jhankaar 2025 continues tomorrow with more captivating performances and celebration.
Today’s event provided a wonderful platform for students to exhibit their talent and build confidence. It was a grand success and received appreciation from all present, making it a memorable day for participants and spectators alike.
