Jhankar 2025 Junior: A Dazzling Celebration of Musical Legacy of A R Rehman through dance
O P Jindal Modern School campus came alive with rhythm, colour, and culture on May 9, 2025, during Jhankar 2025 (Junior), an inter-school dance competition that celebrated the vibrant spirit of dances based on music composed by the legendary Music Composer, singer, lyricist, and music producer A.R. Rehman. Students of Classes III to V from twenty-one schools in Haryana participated in this event. The young participants presented a unique interpretation of dance set to the music of renowned Indian composer, singer, lyricist, and music producer A. R. Rehman.
The event began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony led by the esteemed panel of judges: internationally acclaimed Kathak dancer Mr. Anil Kumar, renowned Kathak artist Mrs. Neha Sharma, and accomplished music and dance expert Mrs. Nishi Kalra.
Jhankar 2025 featured two exciting categories—students and teachers—each bringing to life a colourful blend of dances.
In the student category, Palladium School clinched the first prize, Small Wonder School received the second prize, and Delhi Public School secured third place. Doon International School received a consolation prize.
In the teachers’ category, Mr. Nitish Saini from O P Jindal Modern School bagged the first prize, while Mr. Bhupender from MLB Trilok Chand School , Bhiwani Rohilla secured second prize, and Mr. Pratik from Palladium School secured the third prize. Mr. Sunny was awarded a consolation prize.
Winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates. Principal Nandita Sahu Ma’am commended the jury and participants, underscoring the school’s commitment to nurturing young talent and celebrating India’s cultural and musical richness.
